Dit is wat Radio New Zealand meldt over het persgesprek: The heir to the Dutch throne, Prince Willem-Alexander, has defended telling a journalist to mind their own business in Queenstown this week. The prince and his wife, Princess Maxima, are in New Zealand for a state visit.
On Tuesday the prince was asked by a journalist if he was enjoying his stay, to which he replied, "Mind your own business."
At a press conference in Auckland on Friday Prince Willem-Alexander said that when he was approached by the journalist his official duties had not yet begun. Prince Willem-Alexander says the purpose of his visit to New Zealand has been to strengthen the relationship between the two countries. The royal couple will fly back to The Netherlands on Saturday afternoon.
