Royal couple leave after midair drama

Dit is wat Newstalk ZB, een radiostation in Auckland vrijdag meldde: The heir to the Dutch throne has joked with media this afternoon about his emergency landing in Nelson. Prince Willem-Alexander and his wife Princess Maxima will leave New Zealand tomorrow following a week long state tour.

One event not scheduled, was the emergency landing of their private Jet Stream 32 at Nelson Airport on Wednesday. It was forced to turn back after smoke was detected in the cockpit. The Crown Prince remains light-hearted about the incident saying he left on a non-smoking flight and returned on a smoking one. © NEWSTALK ZB
