It was a spectacular and hot evening in Monaco where Prince Albert II and his wife of one year Princess Charlène opened the annual Red Cross Ball, having briefly interrupted their sojourn in London for the Olympic Games.
Prince Albert was back in the stands of the Olympic Stadium on Sunday, to watch the athletics (track and field in some countries) and Usain Bolt in his equally spectacular 100 metres performance. Albert was not identified by the photographer or the photo editor, who had only eyes for the British royals in the Stadium.
Prince Edward and Sophie were equally ignored by the caption writers on Saturday: Prince William, left, gestures as wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, talks to a spectator at the Aquatics Centre in the Olympic Park during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The mere spectators are the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Queen Elizabeth's youngest son and his wife. © GPD AP
