Denmark's Crown Princely couple continue their official visit to Brazil in Rio de Janeiro. Crown Prince Frederik met with Rio's mayor Eduardo Paes to discuss the city's preparations for the Olympic Games to be held in 2016. Frederik is a member of the International Olympic Committee.

On Tuesday too Frederik and Crown Princess Mary parted ways to visit exhibitions, attend meetings and in the case of Mary, visit a youth centre in the Ciuade de Deus favela. Afterwards Mary went to the Pontifical Catholic University, which has close ties with Danish universities.
