Carl Friedrich and Louis Ferdinand are the names of the two baby boys born Sunday to Georg Friedrich, Prinz von Preußen, and his wife Sophie. They announced the arrival of their twins with 'joy and gratitude'.
Earlier this month the couple's spokesperson confirmed the Prince and Princess had moved from Berlin to Fischerhude near Bremen. The prince, head of the
former imperial House of Hohenzollern, grew up in Fischerhude.
"The Prince has great memories of this place, he wants his children to have the same experiences." In October it was announced that Georg Friedrich and Sophie were expecting their first child - as it turned out, twins, which were said to be expected in February.

Georg Friedrich Prinz von Preussen (10 juni 1976) is son of
Louis Ferdinand of Prussia (1944-1977), son of
Louis Ferdinand of Prussia (1907-1994), second son of
Crown Prince Wilhelm (1882-1951)
eldest son of Emperor Wilhelm II (1859-1941).
Georg Friedrich is Head of the House since his grandfather's death in 1994.
