Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah welcomed Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands to Brunei Darussalam, Monday. The Dutch queen, who is on her first ever visit to Brunei, is accompanied by Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima.
They were greeted at the Brunei International Airport by the Crown Prince of Brunei and his wife, before being driven to the Istana Nurul Iman, the royal palace. In the evening the Sultan hosted a State banquet in the huge Royal Banquet Hall.
