Princess Viktória of Bourbon-Parma on Friday at 12:40 PM local time gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Princess Zita Klara. It is the first born of Viktória and Prince Jaime. At birth the little girl weighted in at 3626 grams, a spokeswoman for the princely couple announced Friday evening.
Princess Zita is named after Prince Jaime's illustrous great aunt, the last Empress of Austria and last Queen of Hungary, Zita Maria delle Grazie Adelgunde Michaele Raphaele Gabriele Josephine Antonie Louise Agnes of Bourbon-Parma. She was a sister of Jaime's grandfather, Prince Xavier. The second name of the little prince is in honour of Viktória's grandmother Klara Killermann.
The announcement of the birth of Princess Zita came only hours after in Sweden salute shots were fired to mark the birth of a as yet unnamed daughter of Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill.
Prince Jaime, 41, is the twin brother of Princess Margarita. He is the third child of Princess Irene of the Netherlands and the late Prince Carlos Hugo, Duke of Parma and erstwhile Carlist claimant to the throne of Spain. Jaime is a diplomat and has recently been appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Holy See (the Vatican). It is thought he will take up his posting after the Summer.
Prince Jaime met Viktória Cservenyák, a lawyer and writer, in 2012 en route to Paris. They announced their engagement in August 2013, on the same day Prince Friso passed away. The wedding was in October in the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady in Apeldoorn.

Before her wedding Viktória was also known as the fiction writer Victoria Delano, author of the book 'Jet Set Summer', published in 2012. The Dutch business magazine Quote described the book as 'autobiographical', giving a vivid account of life among the jet set. Quote voted Viktória 'business babe' of the month, citing her good looks as ex-model, sporting skills (tennis) and brains (studied at 3 universities). Viktória was born in 1982 in Budapest and is ten years younger than Prince Jaime. Her parents divorced and she has lived in the Netherlands since she was eight.
