Princess Máxima of the Netherlands on Monday night was hosted by Grand-Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg at a dinner in the grandducal palace. The Dutch princess visits Luxembourg with the other members of the UN Advisors Group on Inclusive Financial Sectors.
The UN advisors will meet on Tuesday in the Auditorium of the Banque du Luxembourg; both Princess Máxima and the Grand-Duchess will be present. The main role of the Advisors Group is to advise the United Nations system and member states on global issues relating to inclusive finance
The Advisors Group consists of 25 individuals representing governments, central banks, regulatory agencies, microfinance institutions and other financial services providers, private sector financial institutions, civil society, development agencies and donors, and academia from all over the world.
The Grand-Duchess and her husband Grand Duke Henri are good friends of Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and his wife Princess Máxima. Maria Teresa, of Cuban origin, and Máxima, of Argentine extraction, share common Latin-American roots.
