Where will Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Crown Princess Mette-Marit hide their Easter eggs? "That is a private matter", Palace spokesman Sven Gjeruldsen told Norwegian tabloid newspaper VG on Tuesday. The newspaper is trying to find out where the members of the royal family are spending their Easter break.
Without help from the Palace or a tip off from the Easter bunny, the newspaper does not get very far. The Crown Princely couple will not be in their country residence in Nore og Uvdal, nor will they spend time with King Harald and Queen Sonja in their retreat at Sikkilsdalen.
But alternatives are plenty - from San Francisco - where the couple is between 11 and 14 March for an AIDS conference - to the Caribbean, or Brazil, where Haakon's aunt lives. And to add to the paper's frustration: the plans of Princess Märtha Louise and her husband Ari Behn are also unknown.
