Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands on Friday registered the birth of his youngest son, Benjamin Pieter Floris van Vollenhoven, at the registrar's office of Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. Dutch law requires the registration of births (and deaths) in the Civil Register of Certificates, usually located at a town's City Hall.
The prince, second son of Princess Margriet and Pieter van Vollenhoven, also took time to show off his newly born. At the Amsterdam hospital where his wife Princess Annette delivered Benjamin on Wednesday, March 12, Prince Bernhard carefully held his second son and third child in front of the camera.
