Princess Máxima of the Netherlands travelled to Cameroon to speak at a regional meeting of African ministers of Finance, president of Central Banks and other decision makers in the financial world.
She was invited by the Central Bank of Central African States (Banque des Etats de l'Afrique Centrale, BEAC), which is headquarted in Cameroon's capital Yaoundé.
The event was organised by CGAP (Consultative Group of Assistance to the Poor) and was supported by the UN Advisors Group for Incusive Financial Sectors, of which the Dutch Princess is a member. Máxima also had bilateral meetings with representatives from a host of African countries - from Rwanda and Burundi to Cameroon and Madagaskar - and reps from the BEAC.
