Among the 205,000 contributors to the William J. Clinton Foundation is Dutch Prince Friso, according to records made public on Thursday by the charity organisation founded by the former U.S. President. Other contributors are the government of Norway, the Princess Diana Memorial Fund and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Prince Friso, 40, second son of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and since 2004 no longer in line for the throne, made a donation between 100,001 and 250,000 US$, according to the records. Some 179,000 contributors gave no more than $250.
The Clinton Foundation is active in the fight against HIV/AIDS, global warming, childhood obesity, and other significant challenges facing the world. Prince Friso appreciates the work done for health care, durable energy and energy efficiency. That motivated him some time ago to donate money. © GPD; Photos by © Dutch Photo Press, Patrick van Katwijk
