Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria and her fiancee Daniel Westling will move into a 19th century palace on the outskirts of Stockholm. The government on Thursday decided to cede its rights to use the Haga palace to the royal family.
The building in a lakeside park has been used as a residence for visiting foreign dignitaries. It was completed in 1805 and was used by Swedish monarchs as a permanent or temporary residence. Victoria's father, King Carl XVI Gustaf, was born there.
The royal family moved from the relatively modest palace in 1947 and two decades later turned over the rights of disposal to the government. Victoria and Westling plan to wed June 19, 2010. © GPD AP;
