Dutch Prince Willem-Alexander was welcomed by Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov at the beginning of his four day stay in the capital Sofia.
The Dutch heir to the throne is presiding over a meeting of UNSGAB, the U.N. advisory board on water and sanitation.
Prince Willem-Alexander also met with former King and former Prime Minister Simeon II and his wife Queen Margarita. The King, who was deposed by the communists shortly after the second World War ended, has maintained good relations with the still reigning royal families of Europe. © GPD; Photos by © AP; Royal Press Europe
