This organisation helps sick children and their families throughout the UK to manage the consequences of serious illness and complex health conditions through a programme of care and support. Prince William chatted with children after a visit on a steamer both with and their families who are looked after by WellChild.
William joined the children on the steamer, which is sailing around Ullswater Lake, Ullswater, England. His welcome was at times boisterous. The prince also took part in a fell walk in Cumbria's Lake district, accompanied by a group of young people helped by the charity Centrepoint and volunteers from the Mountain Rescue service.
William is patron of Centrepoint, a charity for young homeless people and of the Mountain Rescue in England and Wales. They also raised a London 2012 flag to mark three years until the start of the Olympics. © GPD AP
