Victoria has look at new Acropolis Museum

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden went to see Athens’ new state of the art Acropolis Museum, accompanied by Greek President Karolos Papoulias and his wife May. Victoria is on an official visit to Greece.

In the museum, that openend after many years of delay earlier this year, the Swedish princess took her time to see and admire the treasures and ancient statues. Greece still hopes it will be able to display the so-called Elgin Marbles - now to be found in the British Museum in London - in the museum, which already has space allocated for them. GPD © AP
