Belgian Mail: what to do with Philip's beard

The Belgian Mail faced a dilemma in the preparation for a new stamp issue marking the upcoming 50th anniversary of the heir to the throne, Prince Philip. The prince recently started sporting a beard - as did his Spanish colleague and namesake Prince Felipe. What to do? A stamp with or without a beard?

The answer came from Prince Philip himself. He kindly suggested the Belgian Post produce a stamp with beard, as he is obviously planning to keep it for the time being. This week the stamp design was revealed. © GPD; Gazet van Antwerpen
