Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 6, future queen of Norway, Prince Christian, 4, future king of Denmark, and Princess Catharina-Amalia, 6, future queen of the Netherlands, are - as was widely expected - among the brides children at the wedding of Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling.
Their names were announced Wednesday, along with those of seven other bridesmaids and pages for Saturday's royal wedding at Stockholm's magnificent Storkyrkan, or 'big church'. The Danish and Dutch courts had already confirmed the attendance of their young members, the Norwegians kept silent till the announcement in Stockholm was made.
This how Swedish media announced the three royals among the bridespersonnel: Tre kungliga barn reser till Stockholm. Det är H.K.H. Prinsessan Catharina-Amalia, 6 år, dotter till Nederländernas Kronprinspar Willem-Alexander och Máxima, H.K.H. Prinsessan Ingrid Alexandra, 6 år, dotter till Norges Kronprinspar Mette-Marit och Haakon och H.K.H. Prins Christian, 4 år, son till Danmarks Kronprinspar Mary och Fredrik.
Crown Princess Victoria is godmother to all three future monarchs. She has chosen more godchildren to assist on her special day: godchild Madeleine von Dincklage, 11, granddaughter of Victoria's aunt Princess Margaretha and daughter of Sybilla Ambler von Dincklage, and Ian De Geer, 8, grandson of Princess Désirée and son of Tina and Hans De Geer.
Others are godchild Vivien Sommerlath, 15, daughter of Queen Silvia's late brother Jörg Sommerlath, godchild Giulia Sommerlath, 14, daughter of Thomas Sommerlath en Susanne Sommerlath, and godchild Léopold Sommerlath ,7, son of Patrick Sommerlath en Camilla Lundén.
