Dutch Prince Friso has left Austria, Austrian media reported from Innsbruck's International Airport. The 43-year old Prince is taken by special ambulance plane to London's Wellington Hospital.
The Dutch Government Information Service issued a statement early Thursday evening, when the Prince, second son of Queen Beatrix, had reached his destination. The Prince was hit by an avalanche on February 17. He is in coma and may never regain consciousness doctors said during a press briefing one week ago.
Members of the Dutch royal family have remained in Austria for the past days to stay close to the Prince, who was treated in Innsbruck's prestigeous University hospital. Queen Beatrix and Friso's wife Princess Mabel also travelled to London. © GPD; Photo: © GPD AP
