Simply by train. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia Wednesday traveled by public transport to Karlstad in Värmland. The newly married couple started a two-day introductory visit to Värmland, of which they are titular duke and duchess. And the rain had no chance to dampen their spirits as they set out on their first official joint outing since getting married in June.
On the program Wednesday was a visit to Byamossarna, a new nature reserve in Arvika, which the couple inaugurated before taking a tour.
Then the couple went to Sunne, for a visit to the home of the writer Selma Lagerlof and to wrap up the first day they were invited to a dinner in Karlstad at the provincial governor's residence.
